As the Long Island Soundkeeper, Bill protects water quality and the fish and wildlife of the Sound to benefit both the people and the Sound itself.

 

Raised in Wilton, CT, Bill grew up exploring and fishing Long Island Sound before attending the University of Vermont. He went on to serve the Peace Corps in Guatemala and lived in Alaska for 20 years where he worked as a federal biologist, commercial salmon and halibut fisherman, and as municipal biologist/coastal planner.

 

Prior to his return to CT, he was the project manager for the Kauai Invasive Species Committee with the University of Hawaii.
