Many dams no longer serve their original purpose and are in disrepair. 

We partner with federal, state, and municipal officials, public and private community organizations, local engineering and building companies, landowners, and the general public to remove outdated dams and restore river access for alewife, blueback herring, eel, and other migrating fish.
