Melissa implements media and outreach strategy for CFE/Save the Sound’s climate and energy, land protection, Connecticut-based water, and legal programs. As a long-time environmental activist, Melissa fought the Haddam Land Swap and is active with political campaigns and committees as well as volunteers on various boards in Haddam.
Melissa holds a B.A. in English from the University of Connecticut and is the former First Selectman of Haddam where she focused heavily on open government and a greener municipal environment. In her spare time she works as a graphic designer and journalist, as well as the layout editor of the monthly journal The Haddam Bulletin. She loves to write and travel, and enjoys good food and Belgian beer.
